Our many years of experience in the travel industry have allowed us to reliably assess the needs and problems of the travel market.
The last year and the COVID-19 pandemic have drawn our attention to the problems that people working in the tourism industry have to cope with.
This is how the idea of creating Workin.travel was born. Our platform is a space that connects entrepreneurs (employers) and potential employees who are looking for a new job in the travel industry around the world.
About the founder
Mateusz Sewastynowicz has been gaining experience in the tourism industry for over 12 years, providing technology solutions for travel companies – TRIPSOMNIA successfully launched in 40 foreign markets. So far our successes in the industry have been recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Polish Tourist Organization, the Polish Development Fund and in London at NOAH where our company was awarded as a TOP 5 project for the tourism industry in Europe.
Addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
The coronavirus pandemic has caused a lot of damage to most sectors of the global economy. The travel industry is no exception. COVID has contributed to massive layoffs in tourism. Subsequent lockdowns have significantly hindered the regular business conducting for travel agencies, accommodation and catering facilities, which have remained partially or completely closed for months. In consequence, A number of employees working for these facilities had to reorganize themselves and seek new employment in other industries.
Moreover, travel restrictions and the need for quarantine significantly discouraged people from taking up seasonal work in tourism and working abroad. Previously, it was a widely known and promoted way to enrich one’s resume and combine pleasure with business.
